listening to: Grandaddy

ok.

Yesterday I bought my first Rolling Stones album ever. Tattoo You. I've never really been into the Rolling Stones at all. So I took it home and actually sat down and listened to it while doing nothing else. Just sitting there listening to it. And it turns out I don't think I ever will be all that into the Rolling Stones. I mean, I LIKE them and everything, but one Rolling Stones CD in my collection will be suffice.

After sitting through that, I went to the Drum & Monkey to pick up my skateboard which I left there the night before (sooo drunky!)and rode to Craig's. Wade was there too, and we were supposed to watch the scariest horror movie ever made, but it was missing, so we watched the shittiest movie ever made: The Secret Window with Johnny Depp. Is that what it's called? I think so. I can think of some way better names:

*Morty Has The Worst Hair Style

*Nothing Good Ever Comes Out Of Cheating On Your Crazy Husband

*Screwdriver Dog

Then we watched some weirdo Japanese movie about a girls phantom head, (i fell asleep repeatedly)and then Wade went home, and then I went home.

I started out skating, but it was dark and the streets were wet. And whether I want to admit it or not, Ron's little voice was in the back of my head..."it's not good to get your board wet...grommetts...bearings...warped....rusty....blah blah" so I picked up and walked. Perfect opportunity to stop at the 7-11 for a hotdog. Here's what I put on it:

*chili

*nacho cheese

*tons of onions

then I ran into Kevin & Krunk and they made fun of me for having a hotdog and a skateboard. Ian told me to make sure I didn't eat the wrong one. Har Har, fella.

I went home and ate my hotdog, washed my hands and started to get ready to go to Kortnay's party at around midnight, but then out of the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of the new PEOPLE magazine I had bought but hadn't yet read with Mary-Kate Olsen on the cover. So I sat down to read the article, and ended up sitting at the kitchen table until 4:15am working on the huge Olsen Twins collage that I'm making. It's so fantastic. When it's done I'll do a big showing.

When you've got lots of shit to think about (like I do!)it's very calming to sit and make a collage and think and think and think. it's true. I sorted some shit out, i think, and I just want you to know that GIVING UP on something isn't always a bad thing. If you're giving up on something that just isn't going to happen, then that's cool, but if you give up on something because you think you can't do it, then that's not cool. because in most cases, you can do it. ok? you just have to trust yourself.

Then I slept in this morning and was late for work! oopsie! but not by very much. Just a little bit late. Herb said "Late night?" and I said "yep, but I wasn't drinking" and he said "night off, hey?" and I said "yep. what did you do?" and he said "oh...drank beer and played video games..." and I laughed just at the thought of Herbie playing a video game.

that's all for now, I guess.

Trouble with a capital T,

Twyla.
