oooh. Colin from the Source just came in. Man, is he ever cute.
my weekend went like this:
Friday night: asleep by 9pm thanks to an overload of cold medication
Saturday: came home at noon from work due to my aching sinus'cold. Slept until 4pm. Went to Bil's parents house for their 23rd Anniversary BBQ. Basically just sat there and laughed with Ron all night, especially at the fact that he ate 4 hamburgers.
After the BBQ I went right to bed. Again, by 9pm.
Sunday: Woke up and walked to Ron's house. I tried to get him to drive me the rest of the 5 blocks to Craig's house because it was so fucking hot, but he refused. shiiit. When I got to Craig's, Dave answered the door and said, "get your stupid boyfriend out of bed, we're going for breakfast!" and so we all went to the Ship. What could be better than brunch at the Ship? I'm not sure. Then we went to Safeway and bought $6 worth of cherries. We blew up all the rafts and went to Stanley Park. As Bob was driving, the rafts were flying out of the back of his truck, so we had to go back and look for them on the road! Amazingly, we found them.
Floating was ok, but I was grrrrroooouccchy at first. Whoever inflated my boat did the shittiest job (if you want something done right, do it yourself???)and the water was so low that I was ass-scraping the whole way. NOt even "ASS UP" helped. Then I was mad because I didn't have a pusher thing (oar?)and I needed one. I cheered up when Bob started playing his Ukelele, with hits like "Poopy Teddy" and "Upstream/Downstream"... The river was jam packed and our boats were bumper to bumper, but it was still ok. Trevor looked like a hotdog in his raft. It was really funny.
We got back around 5pm? i don't know, and Craigger & I went right to the Folk Festival. Straight away we ate the best Green Curry in the world. Then we found Bil & Veronica in the beer gardens and the boys shared a jug, while Veronica & I shared a bottle of white wine. How gay.
We watched Lucinda Williams, ate a huge bag of Cowboy Popcorn, shared a crepe, and oh yeah - shared a huge plate of Butter Chicken... ahem.
Then when we were walking home, we stopped in to see if we could catch I, Robot. It was starting exactly as we got there. It actually wasn't a bad movie. I didn't mind it.
Then we had the nicest sleep in the world. This morning I didn't want to get out of bed.
love,
Twyla.
(if you're reading both, you deserve a double anyhow. creepo!)
